It is understood that Tottenham, while not actively seeking to part with the Welsh international, are considering letting Johnson leave should they receive a substantial offer.

Johnson was Tottenham's top Premier League scorer the previous campaign with 11 goals, and wrote his name in club history by scoring the decisive goal in their European final victory over United in Bilbao, bringing to a close the club's 17-year wait for a trophy.

However, the departure of the previous manager and appointment of the new head coach has resulted in Johnson playing more of a reduced role in the current campaign.

The Welsh forward, has made only six Premier League starting appearances this term.

As a result, a number of clubs have been made aware of his possible departure ahead of the winter transfer window.

Considering his lack of action and the prospect of a World Cup approaching with Wales, a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could benefit Johnson next month.

The attacker moved to Tottenham from Forest in a deal valued at £47.5m in the summer of 2023 and has notched 27 goals for the club.
