President Trump Invites Relatives of Injured National Guard Members to the Presidential Residence
President Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the family of a Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the White House.
He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “devastated”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a violent incident on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in grave state.

The president explained he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both soldiers of the state Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” the president informed journalists. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Mourners came together over the weekend at a local school in the state to remember Sarah.
Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of Trump’s federal initiative to aid public safety in DC.

“Sarah was the individual that teachers wished for. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a positive energy that lifted those around her,” Hankins, the principal of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. “She was kind, considerate and always willing to assist people.”
Service arrangements for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of homicide and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.
The incident prompted the Trump administration to halt asylum processing and cease providing visas to possessors of travel documents.
Condition of Wolfe
The airman, a resident of Martinsburg, enlisted in 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, per the news agency.
He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia governor the governor said on a news program.
The state’s top lawyer the attorney general stated on Fox News Sunday that she planned to visit the family.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County high school in 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a MP with excellence, per the state guard.
“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had fortitude,” the governor told the gathering at the vigil. “Though her time was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to be remembered always.”
