Ex- Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician has been charged with committing assaults against 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
